Wildflower Meadow

Last year we initiated a wildflower meadow on the green. It was not successful as the ‘natural’ method  proved  too slow and the cordoned off area was not well differentiated from the rest of the Green. This year we are working with nature better and have sown wildflower seeds (poppy, marigold corn, Scabious Field, Daisy ox-eye)and transplanted some other wildflowers to the disturbed ground created at the new entrance to the  estate at the foot of Mt. Eagle Lawn
